Welcome to the Monday Mustang Message for the week of March 14-18!
- First, a big shout out of celebration to our very own Ms. Carolee Mackay who has been awarded the title of Assistant Principal of the Year for Canyons School District! Please congratulate her when you see her or send her a note!
- Tomorrow, Tuesday, is our Mobile Food Pantry at 3:05pm. Any family with students at Midvale Elementary is eligible to receive a bag of food. Books will also be available to choose and take home!
- Also tomorrow is our second Tuck You In Tuesday of this school year! Check back on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00pm to hear Principal Reynolds read you a story before bedtime!
- Our next Moms Matter session is this Friday, March 18, at 8:15am in the gym. School Social Worker Ashley Nettleton will be talking about bullying. Please join us for donuts at 8:15 with your students, and then students will head to class when the bell rings so you can hear more about this topic and they can start their day of learning.
Looking ahead:
- Next Friday, March 25, is our next Remote Learning Day. Students will bring work home on Thursday and can also access their lessons and assignments on CANVAS.
- We are so excited for Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 29, at 6:00pm! We will have Chick-Fil-A for dinner, a grand event of revealing new surprises, a chance to see your students’ work in classrooms, and lots of fun activities with chances to win prizes.
- You may have seen a flyer for our upcoming Career Day on April 19. We are looking for parents, grandparents, other adults in your student’s life, who would be willing to talk with students about their career and the tools that they use. Please note the error on the English version of this flyer, right below the dotted line. Career Day will, of course, be at Midvale Elementary, not at Sandy Elementary. If you or someone you know would be willing to share your time with our students, please complete the bottom portion of the flyer and return it to the school office.
