Monday Mustang Message – November 21-25, 2022

Monday Mustang Message
November 21-25, 2022

  • Families, we want to celebrate last Monday, on which we had significantly more students in attendance than on previous Mondays. However, today, we are missing 150 students. That is MORE than an entire grade level. The impact on learning for students who are missing is quite high, and it also impacts students who are present because teachers need to take time to reteach material that the absent students missed. Please make sure to send your students to school. Today and tomorrow, students who were here in school will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. Of course, the big prize is that students learn to read, do math, and grow.
  • Our Lost and Found is overflowing with hoodies, coats, shirts, and more. We have temporarily moved the items to tables outside of our office so that families can come and get their lost items. Any items still here after December 1 will be donated.
  • We have Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. We would like to thank all of the organizations who supported our community to ensure everyone could get a Thanksgiving meal: Thanksgiving Heroes, Teachers for Hope and Hope Church, For the Kids, The Frank Cordova Foundation, IKEA, AARP, the Utah Food Bank, and so many more. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Looking Ahead:

  • The Salt Lake County Health Department is having a free COVID Vaccine Clinic at the Tyler Library in Midvale on Saturday, November 26, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Flu shots will also be available.
  • Our next School Community Council meeting is on Monday, November 28, at 4:00pm in our Media Center.
