- We hope everyone had a wonderful spring break last week! Let’s make these next 38 days of school count!
The results are in from our March Reading Month Contest! The following classes have earned a class party:

5th: Ms. Pusey’s Homeroom (also the school’s winning class!)
Tomorrow, Tuesday, is our next Tuck You In Tuesday! Assistant Principal Wagner will be reading a story to us. You can find the video either here on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00 pm.
- We will be hosting a Welcome Families session on Friday, April 12, at 8:30 am in our Family Learning Center for any new families who have recently registered their students here at Midvale Elementary. We will discuss the student and family experience here, and resources and services available through the school and community.
- When everything claims to be educational, it can be difficult to determine which media content is appropriate for your kids. We know that reviewing everything on your own can be a very time-consuming and frustrating process. Common Sense Media publishes reviews on movies, TV shows, books, games, and apps to help families make educated decisions on content curation. They even have a Star Wars Age-by-Age guide to help you introduce your favorite characters in an age-appropriate manner. Families can access 3 free reviews monthly without creating an account. Consider including your children in the decision-making process and let them pitch why they feel the movie, show, game, or app is a good use of their time.

- MONDAY, April 15, 3:05 pm: Free Groceries at our Mobile Food Pantry, sponsored by the Utah Food Bank and AARP *Please note that it is on MONDAY, not Tuesday, this month.
- Friday, April 19, 7:45 am: Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
- Friday, April 19, 2:00 pm: Kindergarten Orientation for children who will be starting kindergarten in the fall of 2024.
