Steve reviewed the purpose of the by-laws and everyone was provided a copy. Discussed whether we wanted to move the election to the spring; in order to be inclusive of new Kindergarten parents we will keep it in the fall and propose no change to that. Carolee pointed out Article III.2; we need to make sure that we are ensuring attendance of SCC members.

Jason made a motion to approve the by-laws; Stephanie seconded. All in favor; motion carried.

  1. Land Trust / TSSP updates and review

Carolee noted that all LAND Trust funds were used by the end of the school year. With TSSA funds, we were close to the 10% amount that could be carried over to this year. We have fully hired recess aides, interventionists (including a Spanish speaking interventionist), and support staff. We are still working to hire a 5th grade teacher and an Extended Learning Facilitator, though we do have a long term substitute teacher who has been here for several years who is covering 5th grade.

  2. School Safety Report

This year we are using a new app called Crisis Go. If there is an emergency, an alert is sent out to all personnel. We have been training staff on it; teachers take roll right in the app. Tomorrow is our first fire drill.

Safety items: We did get our new speed bump on the northwest part of the parking lot. Unified has provided a crossing guard off of Wasatch. The school is supposed to provide a staff to assist with crossing the bus entrance.

  1. Other Items:
    1. Other topics to present to the council

    None noted.

  1. Adjourn

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Stephanie; Caidy seconded. Motion carried; meeting adjourned at 5:07pm.
