Student and Family Handbooks
Student and Family Handbooks will be sent home in the next week or so. Families are asked to review the entire handbook with their student(s) and sign the final page, returning just the page to teachers.
Please be sure to review the Parking Lot and Loading/Unloading Procedures so we can all work together to keep students safe. Please use crosswalks at all times so we are all teaching students to cross streets and parking lots safely.
The Handbook can also be found on our website for families to consult at any time.
ParentSquare
All schools in Canyons School District are using ParentSquare to communicate with families. If you are not yet registered, please download the ParentSquare app or register online using your phone number or email address. Once you are registered, we would love to have you “Appreciate” posts on ParentSquare by clicking on the heart icon so we know that you have read the information shared!
We will be hosting a class party for the class who has every family registered on ParentSquare first.
Help Us Fight Food Waste!
Join us in our mission to lower food waste in Canyons School District. In this video, we delve into the importance of making informed choices during school lunch. Learn about the required food groups, discover how to create a balanced meal, and take a quick quiz to test your knowledge. Let’s work together to ensure nutritious meals for all students while minimizing food waste.
During breakfast and lunch at Midvale Elementary, we utilize “share bins” for students to place unopened food items and uneaten fruit (ex. milk, yogurt, apples, bananas, raisins), which are then distributed after school twice weekly. Our students love the after school snacks! Help us to keep the grounds clean by encouraging your student to dispose of trash appropriately.

Free Vaccine Clinics
Canyons School District’s Nursing Department is sponsoring vaccine clinics at which qualifying students can receive school-required vaccines at no cost.
- Friday, August 23, 1:00-6:00pm at the Canyons District Offices, 9361 S 300 East, Sandy.
- Wednesday, September 11, 3:00-7:00pm at Midvale Middle School, 7852 S Pioneer Street, Midvale.
