- Welcome
Meeting was called to order at 4:15pm. Introductions were made.
- Discussion and vote on approval of the August 26, 2024, meeting minutes
The group reviewed the minutes from August 26. Lyndzi motioned to approve the minutes; seconded by Jason. No discussion. All in favor; passed unanimously. Minutes approved.
- Nomination, Discussion, and Vote on 2024-25 SCC Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary
Steve reviewed the rules regarding who can hold these positions and the positions themselves, and opened up nominations.
Jason nominated Steve for Chair with a second by Lyndzi; Steve accepted the nomination. All voted in favor; none opposed. Passed unanimously.
Lyndzi nominated Jason for vice-chair; Caidy seconded; Jason accepted the nomination, noting that he will be out of town for the next meeting. No other nominations. All voted in favor; none opposed. Passed unanimously.
Lyndzi nominated Heidi for secretary; Carolee seconded; Heidi accepted the nomination. No other nominations. All voted in favor; none opposed. Passed unanimously.
- Land Trust / TSSP updates and review
Currently our Land Trust is $110,871.83. The TSSP is currently $52,872.21, but additional funds should hit the account soon. All of our interventionists, one recess aide, some of the Brain Booster instructors (STEM), part of a SPED teacher, and some substitutes come out of these funds.
Discussion was held about the value of these positions in supporting the students’ needs and ensuring that it is documented how it actually impacts the students and the school community.
- School Safety Report
We did our first Fire Drill using Crisis Go and it went pretty well. The drill this month is the Lockdown Drill. We are also going to be doing some silent drills. Admin will make an announcement and everyone will be asked to pause and think about what they would do in that particular situation.
Briefly discussed the School Guardian issue. Carolee noted that the School Resource Officer who is housed at Midvale Middle can cover our school too since we share a campus.
- SCC Training Options:
Steve reviewed the SCC training options; everyone must attend a General Session. Those new to SCC will need to do the Basic as well as the General Session.

Stephanie motioned to adjourn; Erica seconded. All in favor; none opposed. Meeting adjourned at 5:06pm.
