Move to next month due to a lack of quorum.

5. Land Trust / TSSP updates and review

We have more than anticipated in both the Land Trust and TSSA accounts. Carolee will be adjusting the allocations to the previously approved line items. She will present the adjustments to the SCC at the next meeting. Stephanie asked if the teachers could have a full day rather than the half day of planning that is already in the budget. Carolee is also considering adding some hours for the interventionists. Carolee will adjust the budget and present to the BLT and then the SCC.

6. Amendment to LandTrust/TSSP expenditures

(See notes above) It was noted that an amendment is not required.

7. School Safety Report

We did a Lockdown drill last month. There were a few issues which have been addressed; it has been discussed to do another Lockdown drill later in the year. This month’s drill is a Secure drill. Discussed the differences between a Lockdown and a Secure drill.

8. School Accountability Report for 2023-24

Carolee presented the School Accountability Report, which is based upon RISE testing data (3rd through 5th grades) from May 2024. To view the report, click on this link: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGS7wBnp2I/b6qOUUgfMTreCJG8mNYUKg/edit?utm_content=DAGS7wBnp2I&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

In the areas of ELA, math, and science, the data indicates a Critical Needs level. Growth for the lowest 25% of students indicates a level of Typical growth.

English Learner Progress, which is based on WIDA assessment for all grades, results indicate that 34.4% of English Learners made adequate progress, and 6.6% of English Learners reached proficiency.

Discussed attendance as an issue affecting scores; our attendance has improved 11% this year so far!

Our overall score for the year is 49, which is 32.6%. This report was presented to faculty last week. Faculty have been coming together to present plans for improvement, focusing on:

  • Classroom Management
  • Purposeful Planning, sticking with the curriculum, continuing with RIGOR
  • PLC’s must be data focused
  • All classrooms must keep data folders for each student
  • 3rd-5th grades will start RISE Benchmark practice tests so they know how those tests work; Wonders also has some resources that are similar.

Carolee also noted that our school should not have actually been on Targeted Improvement in any area last year so this is our year to get back on track. Given our current position, we should be able to show growth!

9. SCC Training Reminder:
