Chief Example for Others (CEO) Character Trait for October: Respect

Free Groceries!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, is our next monthly Mobile Food Pantry here at Midvale Elementary School. Students and/or families may pick up groceries at 3:05pm inside the school. Please be aware that the groceries can be quite heavy for little ones to carry on their own, so please arrange for older students or adults to assist the younger students.

Fall Break

Students will not have school from Thursday, October 17, through Monday, October 21, for Fall Break. They will return to classes on Tuesday, October 22.

Fall Family Night

We are celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 25. We will have our Halloween Costume Parade at 9:30am, starting in the school and then moving outside, weather permitting. Families can watch our parade outside in front of the school. The parking lot will close at 9:00am so that families can line up along the north parking lot to watch. A few notes about costumes:

  • Please know that costumes are optional. In choosing a costume to wear to school, note that costumes should not interfere with learning or have accessories that can be used as weapons or weapon facsimiles. Costumes may not include a full face mask or have a head covering that conceals the student’s identity. Face painting is allowed, but must be done at home prior to coming to school.

Hillcrest Halloween “Trunk or Treat”

Hillcrest High School is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Wednesday, October 30, from 6:30-8:30pm. The event is open to children ages 12 and under, and they must be accompanied by a high school student or adult.
