Family Teacher Conferences
Family Teacher Conferences are this week! Most conferences are today and Wednesday, with some during the day on Tuesday and Thursday. If you are not signed up, please do! Our teachers want to connect with you about how your student is doing here at school!
LOST AND FOUND
While you are here for conferences, please check our Lost and Found area for your student’s lost items. It is filling up with lots of sad little coats and hoodies and so much more.
Scholastic Book Fair
This week, the Midvale Elementary PTA is hosting our annual Scholastic Book Fair at Family Conferences on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Families who attend conferences will receive a book fair coupon for each Midvale Elementary student. Please join us and add to your child’s home library!
Thursday Early Out, Friday No School
Please be aware that this THURSDAY, students will be released at 1:25pm. Also, there is no school on FRIDAY.
Cozy Up with a Good Book and Read!
We are celebrating Read Across America Day at Midvale Elementary School on Friday, March 7. Wear cozy clothes that day and we will “Cozy Up with a Good Book!” Students will spend time with their “Buddy Classes” and do some fun activities and reading.
Look for Reading Logs to come home each week in March so students can record how many minutes of reading they do each day. This can be time spent reading with you as well! Listening and following along are great ways to build literacy skills. The class that has the most reading minutes will win a class party, and the student in each class who reads the most will also earn a prize!
And Save the Date now for our Camp Read-A-Lot Family Night on Tuesday, April 1, from 6:00-8:00pm. We are going to have a great time! Look for more information to come.
