Please enjoy your spring recess next week! We have a lot more learning to do when students return on April 13!

Digital Citizenship Message of the Month

Talking to kids about online privacy is like talking to them about not opening the front door to strangers. Help them set strong passwords and use privacy settings. When we explain what personal information is OK to share and whom to trust, we protect them against grooming, AI companions, and other tricky situations. And even when new apps pop up and platform settings change, the human skills remain the same. Critical thinking and knowing how to assess risks—and when to get a trusted adult—is the best way to stay safe and ahead of the game.

Thrive Time Focus of the Week

We’re excited to start a new Thrive Time unit called Understanding Our Community. This week, we’ll explore what it means to belong to a community and practice listening so that we can learn from others. We’ll celebrate our similarities and differences, respect different cultures and values, and appreciate the many backgrounds that make our community special. These lessons will help us grow kindness, respect, and connection with everyone around us!

Families, take time to talk about these ideas with your students at home as well! We can all practice these skills every day!

News from our PTA

🌷 The next PTA meeting is Monday, April 13, 3:30 pm, in the school library. Parents, we need you there!

  • 🗳️ We need parents who paid their PTA membership dues this year to review and approve the bylaws – please help us by attending the meeting!
  • 🙋🏽 We need parents to be on our PTA Board for next school year. We are in desperate need of parents to sign up to help, to take on even one event. A very small group of parents has been doing the job of many, and we need more parents to help them out. If you can spare a little time with a great group of parents to make an impact on the whole school, please contact Erica Arche or Jessica Brown.

Financial Literacy Class for Adults

Cypress Credit Union will be in our Family Learning Center for a set of classes on Financial Literacy for Adults. Classes will be held at 9:40am on April 15, 22, 29, and 30. Please join us!
