Message from Principal Mackay
Dear Midvale Elementary School Families,
What an amazing first day of school! Walking through the halls today, I saw bright smiles, eager learners, and a true sense of community. Our theme this year, Reaching for the Stars, reminds us that every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and shine.
One of the most important ways we can help our students achieve their goals is by making sure they are here every day, on time, and ready to learn. Strong attendance helps students stay on track, build confidence, and fully engage with their teachers and classmates.
We are so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see the incredible things our students will accomplish. And the year is just getting started, we look forward to welcoming our Kindergarten students on Wednesday as they begin their own journey toward the stars!
Here’s to a stellar start!

Student and Family Handbooks
Student and Family Handbooks will be sent home soon. Families are asked to review the entire handbook with their student(s) and sign the final page, returning just the page to teachers.
Please be sure to review the Parking Lot and Loading/Unloading Procedures so we can all work together to keep students safe. Please use crosswalks at all times so we are all teaching students to cross streets and parking lots safely.
The Handbook can also be found on our website for families to consult at any time.
No Before or After School Program
Midvale Elementary will not have a Before or After School Program this year due to a lack of grant funding. We hope to be able to have one again in the 2026-27 school year.

Looking Ahead:
Wednesday, August 20: First Day of Kindergarten
Monday, August 25: First Day of PreschoolColor Days: Wear Red
Tuesday, August 26: Wear Yellow
Wednesday, August 27: Kindergarten College and Career Day, Wear Blue
Thursday, August 28: Wear Green
Friday, August 29: Wear Orange
Monday, September 1: Labor Day, No School
