How to Help Kids Spot Misinformation and Disinformation

A lot of news media and social media content is designed to grab our attention and keep us engaged. And whether we’re getting our news from a TV network, TikTok, or YouTube, it can be hard to tell what’s accurate these days. Knowing that the news we consume can be biased, misreported, or even fake, it’s crucial that all of us—especially young people—learn to decode the information we encounter.

Books and Breakfast Friday Family Matters

On Friday, March 21, we continue our celebration of March Reading Month with our Books and Breakfast event at Friday Family Matters from 7:30-8:15am! Take some time to enjoy breakfast and read a book with your student. We will also share information about how to support your student’s reading skills at home.

Please continue to remind your students to complete their Reading Logs each week! The class that has the most reading minutes will win a class party, and the student in each class who reads the most will also earn a prize!
