- Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26 is our Land of Stories Family Literacy Night from 6:00-8:00 pm! Join us for food, fun activities, and prizes while we celebrate literacy! Students have been learning about different kinds of stories, such as fairy tales, tall tales, and folk tales, and their projects will be on display. Please come dressed as your favorite book character if you would like, and explore our Land of Stories with us!
- Lost and Found: Families, our Lost and Found area near the cafeteria is again filled with lost coats, jackets, hoodies, backpacks, and items you can’t even imagine. PLEASE come THIS WEEK to go through all of the items to be sure that your student did not leave anything here. After this week, the items will be gone through and donated.
Calling all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls! Girls on the Run is coming to Midvale Elementary! This program includes:
3rd-5th graders practicing twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) for 8 weeks at Midvale Elementary starting April 8 (note change in start date)
Fun lessons, team discussions and physical activities led by trained and caring coaches
Girls on the Run shirt, water bottle, bag, journal, lesson supplies and snacks
End-of-season 5K celebration on June 1
Significant scholarships are available so make sure to ask about this! Girls on the Run does not want cost to be a barrier and is ready to support students! Sign up at girlsontherunutah.org. (Please note that Canyons School District is not a sponsor of this event.)
- Please take note: The free after-school soccer clinic through Copperview Recreation Center on Thursday, March 28, had to be cancelled. HOWEVER, there will be free soccer on Friday, March 29, at Copperview Elementary School, 8449 Monroe Street, Midvale, from 2:00-3:00pm. Some of the Hillcrest soccer players will be there to lead the drills and games! Learn more about the spring and summer soccer leagues that Copperview Recreation Center has to offer, including scholarships!
