Monday Mustang Message

May 20 – 24, 2024

  • We have a lot planned for our last two weeks of school! Let’s all work together to make them great! Remind your students to continue to show “Mustang PRIDE,” and to demonstrate all that they have learned this year about being Chief Examples to Others in their character.

  • Tuesday is our Midvale Living Traditions End-of-Year Celebrationat 1:45pm at the Midvale City Park Amphitheater. We are so excited to see our students sing and dance their hearts out! Please note the following logistics to make everything run more smoothly:
    •  Students will be walking to the park with their teachers and sitting in front of the stage with their classes.
    •  Family members are asked to sit behind all of the students (not with the students), or along the sides; the student/teacher/staff area will be marked off. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit on; these are not provided by the school.
    • The event begins at 1:45pm and ends at 2:45pm. Please avoid trying to check your student out during the event as it will be difficult to manage this.
    • At the end of the event, students will walk back to the school with their classes. If parents/guardians are going to check their student out from the event itself, you MUST sign your student out with your student’s teacher and be prepared to show ID. Because teachers are trying to get the classes back to the school in time for buses and other transportation arrangements, there will be limited time to check students out at the event.

  • Our last Fresh Produce Market of this school year is also Tuesday! The bags will be available AFTER school due to the celebration at the park. A parent/guardian can pick up a bag of fresh fruit and vegetables at no cost.

  • Also after school Tuesday is a Free Immunization Clinic at Midvale Elementary School from 3:00-6:00pm.

  • Tuesday evening is our next Tuck You In Tuesday!  Miss Heidi will be reading a story to help you get ready for a good night’s sleep. You can find the story by video either on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00 pm.

  • Big Smiles Dental Clinic will be here Wednesday and Thursday this week. If your student does have insurance and you would like them to be seen, you can register online at https://www.myschooldentist.com/MECAUT_schsrm

  • Our wonderful Kindergarteners have a graduation ceremony on Thursday morning from 9:00-10:30am. Students and families are invited to come to the Kindergarten playground at that time to enjoy the booths, see teachers and friends, and take pictures. No formal Kindergarten classes will be held that day as we take time to celebrate their last day of Kindergarten and their achievements!

Looking Ahead:

  • Monday, May 27: No School – Memorial Day
  • Tuesday, May 28: Field day for grades 1, 2, 5 (Remember water bottles, sunscreen, athletic shoes)
