Midvale Traditions End-of-Year Celebration

Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2026
Time:
Grades K-2 9:00am
Grades 3-5 10:00am
Location: Midvale MIDDLE School Auditorium

Each grade level will be performing songs to celebrate their learning and growth this school year. Students will sit with their classes in the front of the auditorium. We are all excited for this opportunity!

Families, please enter through the WEST doors of Midvale Middle School to enter the auditorium (not the front doors). Doors will open at 8:30am for the K-2 performance. For the Grades 3-5 performance, doors will open for families once our K-2 students have exited the auditorium. Families will sit in the designated sections behind the students.

For the safety purposes, all students will be returning to the school after the performance. We will not be doing early check-outs at the event, and we ask that students NOT be checked out to watch sibling performances.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a live stream video or share videos of the performance to families. We have several students who do not have a signed media release and therefore we are not able to provide video for the safety of our students.

We look forward to seeing you!

Field Days: Volunteers Needed!

On May 27 and 28, each grade level will go outside for about an hour for our annual Field Days! Grades 3-5 have Field Day on Wednesday, May 28, and Grades K-2 have Field Day on Thursday, May 29. Students should wear comfortable shoes and clothing for running and playing outside, sunscreen, hats (only for outside). Sunscreen should be applied at home; staff are unable to assist students with this.

We are looking for volunteers to help us during each grade level field day (see times under Looking Ahead section). If you are available to help, please contact Heidi Sanger on ParentSquare or in the office.

A few notes for our potential volunteers:

  • All volunteers must have a completed background check through the District: https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/external-relations/volunteer/
  • Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes and be prepared for the weather and some physical activity (bring sunscreen, water, etc.).
  • Volunteers will be assigned to a specific game/activity facilitated by a school staff member.
  • Volunteers may not bring other children along for their volunteer shift.

How can you help your student maintain their skills so they are ready for fall? Encourage them to read every day, including reading to them as wellPractice math skills in daily activities such as cooking, baking, playing games, grocery shopping. Ask them questions about what they see, what they notice about the world around them, and answer their questions as well. We can all be learners!
