Monday Mustang Message May 9-13, 2022

Welcome to the Monday Mustang Message for the week of May 9-13, 2022!

  • A big THANK YOU to all who helped honor and celebrate our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week! If you missed it, don’t worry – any day is a good day to let teachers know they are appreciated!
  • Tomorrow, Tuesday, is our final Mobile Food Pantry of this school year. Distribution will begin at 3:05pm. All families of Midvale Elementary students are eligible to receive food on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember that the bags of food are heavy for little ones to carry so if adults or older siblings are available to assist them, that is most helpful. Students will be able to pick out books to take home as well.
  • Our next Tuck You In Tuesday is also tomorrow, and Assistant Principal Caldwell will be sharing another story with us! Check in at 7:00pm for a bedtime story!
  • On Friday, we will be holding our last Moms Matter session of this school year starting at 8:15am. The timing is perfect since we are celebrating Mothers’ Day this week! Laura Streeter, Create Better Health Ambassador from Utah State University Extension- Salt Lake County, will be talking about NUTRITION with us and sharing her expertise and resources, including a recipe for us to try! Students may join the adults until the bell rings, at which time they will go to class and we will start our session. We will have Spanish translation available. Please let me know if you need an interpreter for a different language.
  • On Saturday we will be cheering on REAL Salt Lake at the game at 7:30pm. If you signed up for tickets through the school, you should have received a message on ParentSquare indicating that you can now pick up your tickets in the office. Go RSL!

Thank you for reading our message. Have a great week!
