Monday Mustang Message – October 10-14, 2022

Welcome to our Monday Mustang Message for the week of October 10-14, 2022!

  • Attendance Matters: Did you know that missing just a few days here and there can contribute to students falling behind in reading, writing and math? When students are absent, they miss critical information, causing gaps in learning that make it more difficult to catch up. Please make sure that your students are at school on time, every day.
  • Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 11, is our Mobile Food Pantry. Students and/or families of Midvale Elementary students may come at 3:05pm to get a bag/bags of food items from the Utah Food Pantry. A big Thank You to AARP for sponsoring our school’s food pantry!
  • This Friday, October 14, at 7:30 am, will be our first All Pro Dads session of the school year. We invite fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father-figures to bring their students and enjoy a light breakfast and a fun time interacting and talking about the topic of KINDNESS. The fabulous Luis Navarro, our 5th grade Dual Immersion teacher, will be facilitating our discussion.

Looking Ahead:

  • This month, Canyons School District will be celebrating Digital Citizenship Week on October 17-19, 2022! During this week, students of all ages will be participating in activities that will empower them to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world. From cyberbullying and photo sharing to digital footprints and online safety, CSD wants to help students address important topics and have meaningful conversations about making great choices in their digital lives.

  • Thursday, October 20, and Friday, October 21 (next week, not this week): Fall Recess. No School!
