Resilience
Digital Citizenship Week
This week is Digital Citizenship Week! Digital citizenship isn’t just about screens—it’s about helping kids make healthy, thoughtful choices in all the ways they connect with the world. At school, we practice these skills everyday, and during Digital Citizenship Week, we pause to review and celebrate what students are learning. Conversations at home help children understand when and how technology use makes sense and how it can align with your family’s values and goals. Small steps like talking about kindness online or setting aside unplugged family time can make a big difference in raising confident digital citizens.
Click below to check out these resources for each grade level and how families can engage in discussions with children about appropriate use of technology.
Parking Lot Safety Reminders
Families, we would like to remind you of some important parking lots safety issues:
- Please avoid parking in spots designated as “Handicapped Only.”
- Please drive slowly and safely.
- Please follow the direction of traffic (see map) and obey all traffic signs.
Thrive Time Weekly Focus
This week, we’re starting our next Thrive Time unit called Building Resilience. In this unit, we’ll learn the difference between basic emotions like happy or sad, and more complex emotions like frustrated or anxious. We’ll also learn different ways to cope with our feelings. Let’s make this week great by being “emotion detectives” – noticing our feelings, using specific words to describe them, and remembering that all emotions are important messengers that help us understand ourselves better!
