Monday Mustang Message
October 23 – 27, 2023
- We hope that each of you had a refreshing fall break!
- Tuesday is our last Fresh Produce Market this fall. The bags are typically ready to go by 1:00pm. A parent/guardian can pick up a bag of fresh fruit and vegetables at no cost.
- Tuesday is also our Family STEAM Night! What is STEAM? It is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! Join us from 6:00 – 8:00pm here at the school to try challenges involving marbles, hot wheel cars, xylophones, art, coding, puzzles, magnets, electronic circuits, K-nex, and so much more! Students can complete challenges and take home a packet of math games and activities. Also, parents and students in grades 3-5 are invited to a Multiplication Station with Mrs. Kraft to learn how to support students with multiplication, offered every 30 minutes. Grab some dinner at home and then come and spend your evening with us!
- We are celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 27. We will have our Halloween Costume Parade at 9:30am, starting in the school and then moving outside, weather permitting. Families can watch our parade outside in front of the school. The parking lot will close at 9:00am so that families can line up along the north parking lot to watch. A few notes about costumes:
- Please know that costumes are optional. In choosing a costume to wear to school, note that costumes should not interfere with learning or have accessories that can be used as weapons or weapon facsimiles. Costumes may not include a full face mask or have a head covering that conceals the student’s identity. Face painting is allowed, but must be done at home prior to coming to school.

- Applications for Thanksgiving Heroes are available in the school office. This organization works to provide food for a full Thanksgiving meal that is delivered on Saturday, November 18. The meals are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that our school community is also the recipient of Thanksgiving turkeys and other meal items through the Frank Cordova Foundation and For the Kids which will be delivered to the school on Monday, November 20. Please choose one or the other so we can support as many families as possible.
