Welcome to our Monday Mustang Message (on Tuesday) for the week of September 6-9, 2022! We hope you enjoyed your long weekend!
- Tonight from 6:00-7:00pm, the PTA is hosting a PTA Night in the elementary school cafeteria. Please join them to sign up for a $6 membership, get some food, have a chance to win prizes, and sign up for committees to help run the activities we do each year. Our PTA needs YOU!
- Students need to be in school every day to learn! Did you know that just missing 1 or 2 days every few weeks can cause a student to fall behind in reading and math? We are working hard to make sure that students realize how important it is for them to be here. Ask your student about how they can earn a visit from our very own Mr. Potato Head just like this class did!
- We are seeing improvements in our pick-up and drop-off zones! Thank you for making sure that you are using crosswalks at all times, dropping off and picking up students next to the curb, and parking in parking spots rather than in the drive-through lane if you need to get out of your car. Please also make sure that children are using seatbelts and car seats as required by law. It takes all of us to make sure our kids stay safe!
- Utah’s Seat Belt Law: ALL passengers must wear seat belts in all seating positions and children up to age 8 must be properly restrained in a car seat or booster seat. Remember, seat belts save lives. If you or anyone in your vehicle aren’t properly restrained, you can be issued a $45 citation by law enforcement.
NOTE: The time to transition your child out of a booster seat and into a seat belt usually comes when the child is between 8 and 12 years old. Keep your children in booster seats until they outgrow the size limits of the booster seats or are big enough to fit properly in seat belts.
And remember, children under 13 should ride in the back seat for maximum safety!
