Mont asked how Morning Meeting is supporting academics. All attendees noted positive benefits from a social emotional perspective as well as academics. The Morning Meetings have helped to build a sense of community in the classrooms, and the skills the students learn are used when they are dealing with frustration and other issues throughout the day which supports academics. Steve and Haydee noted benefits they have seen even at home with the skills learned in Morning Meetings.

Steve and Chip described the change in scheduling for Brain Boosters this past year which has been successful. Kids are learning skills in 6 week blocks versus having the various subjects spread out over the entire year.

Land Trust and TSSP Plans were reviewed as above, and the signature form was provided to attendees.

  1. Motion to cancel April’s SCC meeting; seconded and approved.
  2. Motion to adjourn, seconded and approved.
