Monday Mustang Message

April 22 – 26, 2024

  • End-of-year testing, called RISE, begins this week for 3rd-5th graders and will continue through May 17 (and the next week for make-ups). Here are a few things that families can do to prepare students at home:
    • Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
    • Make the morning of testing as relaxing as possible by arriving to school on time. Testing begins right away in the morning so students must be to school by 8:25am so they are settled in and ready to begin.
    • Encourage children to focus and pace themselves without rushing. It’s important to take your time, and read each question carefully.

  • Tuesday is our next Tuck You In Tuesday! First grade teacher Mrs. Gonsur will be reading a bedtime story to us, and she is so excited! You can find the video either here on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00 pm.

  • Thank you to those who were able to attend our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast last Friday morning, and thank you to all of our volunteers for supporting our students and staff here at Midvale Elementary. Click here to see our Thank You video!

Looking Ahead:

  • Monday, April 29: School Community Council Meeting 4:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 30: Fresh Produce Market 2:15pm
  • May 6 – 10: Teacher Appreciation Week!
    • The PTA will be sending out ideas of how we can celebrate our teachers; let’s treat them well and honor all that they do for students!
  • Tuesday, May 7: Fresh Produce Market and Mobile Food Pantry
  • Friday, May 10: PTA Carnival 5-8pm
  • Tuesday, May 21: Midvale Traditions Celebration at the Midvale City Park at 1:45pm
