Monday Mustang Message

April 29 – May 3, 2024

  • End-of-year testing, called RISE, continues for 3rd-5th graders through May 17 (and the next week for make-ups). Here are a few things that families can do to prepare students at home:
    • Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
    • Make the morning of testing as relaxing as possible by arriving to school on time. Testing begins right away in the morning so students must be to school by 8:25am so they are settled in and ready to begin.
    • Encourage children to focus and pace themselves without rushing. It’s important to take your time, and read each question carefully.

  • Our Fresh Produce Market is starting again tomorrow (Tuesday)! The bags are typically ready to go by 1:30pm. A parent/guardian can pick up a bag of fresh fruit and vegetables at no cost.
  • Tomorrow is our next Tuck You In Tuesday! You can find the story by video either here on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00 pm.

Looking Ahead:

  • May 6 – 10: Teacher Appreciation Week!
    • The PTA will be sending out ideas of how we can celebrate our teachers; let’s treat them well and honor all that they do for students!
  • Tuesday, May 7: Fresh Produce Market
  • Tuesday, May 7: Free Groceries at our Mobile Food Pantry 3:05pm
  • Friday, May 10: PTA Carnival 5-8pm
