Monday Mustang Message
May 6 – 10, 2024
- This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! The PTA is sending out messages and ideas about how to honor our teachers. Let’s really make them feel special this week!
- A note about breakfast, which was previously sent out March 18:
Breakfast/Morning Routine: Hot breakfast is served to students in the cafeteria from 8:00-8:20am. If students are here at school during that time, they should be getting breakfast if they didn’t eat at home. At 8:20am, the cafeteria lines close and students are to go to their outside line-up locations where they line up when the bell rings at 8:25am. If students have just arrived and want breakfast, they must still line up and check in with their teachers before they go to the cafeteria where they can get cereal, milk, and fruit to take back to their classroom. Please review these procedures with your students.
- End-of-year testing, called RISE, continues for 3rd-5th graders through May 17 (and the next week for make-ups). Remember to have them get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive on time, and encourage them to take their time during the test!
- Our Fresh Produce Market is Tuesday! The bags are typically ready to go by 1:30pm. A parent/guardian can pick up a bag of fresh fruit and vegetables at no cost.
- You can also get Free Groceries Tuesday at our Mobile Food Pantry at 3:05pm. Students and/or adults may pick up the groceries after school.
- Tomorrow is also our next Tuck You In Tuesday! Miss Nelson will be reading us a story and you KNOW it will be a good one! You can find the story by video either on ParentSquare or on Facebook at 7:00 pm.

- Thursday, May 30: Last day of school, Growth Parade, Early release 12:30pm (note earlier time)
