Monday Mustang Message

April 10 – 14, 2023

  • We hope that you all had a peaceful and enjoyable spring break, and that all of our students are refreshed and ready to work hard and learn a lot through the rest of the school year.
  • Tomorrow, Tuesday, we have our Mobile Food Pantry at 3:05 pm. All Midvale Elementary families are eligible to pick up a bag of food from the Utah Food Pantry, sponsored by AARP volunteers.
  • Check out ParentSquare or Facebook tomorrow evening at 7:00pm for our next Tuck You In Tuesday! Ms. Nelson will be reading a special book to us to get us ready for a good night’s sleep!
  • On Friday morning, we will be holding our last All Pro Dads session of the school year at 7:30 am, facilitated by Mr. Navarro. We will enjoy some donuts and juice, and have a fun conversation about positive character traits!
  • Friday morning is also Career Day! We will have parents and members of our community coming to classrooms to speak to students about their jobs. It is always a fun morning learning about different paths our lives can take! We are still in need of volunteers, so PLEASE reach out ASAP if you are able to take some time from 8:45-10:15 am to talk to classes about your job!
  • April Digital Literacy Message: It can be difficult to keep up with the apps, games, and websites that are popular with kids. Common Sense’s Parents’ Ultimate Guides can help keep you up to date and answer your questions about all the latest platforms and trends. Visit Common Sense Media to explore the Parents’ Ultimate Guides for Roblox, Discord, Minecraft, Snapchat, TikTok, Fortnite, or Instagram. (Common Sense Education)

Looking Ahead:

  • Friday, April 21: Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, 7:45 am.
  • Friday, April 21: Kindergarten Open House 2:00 – 3:30 pm, for families of Kindergarteners starting school in the 2023-24 school year. Children must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023, in order to be eligible for Kindergarten.
