Monday Mustang Message

April 17 – 21, 2023

  • RISE testing begins today for 5th graders. How can you support your student?
    • Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
    • Make the morning of testing as relaxing as possible by arriving to school on time.
    • Encourage children to focus and pace themselves without rushing. It’s important to take your time, and read each question carefully.
    • Remind kids that they’ve worked hard all year in class. Now is their chance to show how much they’ve learned. #Don’tStress #JustDoYourBest
  • Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 18, we will have our very first FRESH PRODUCE MARKET at 2:40 pm.  Our goal is to be out in front of the school, but with the predicted rain, we may be inside. A parent/guardian can pick up a bag of fresh fruit and vegetables at no cost to our school families.  Please bring your own reusable bag, if possible. Please note: this is first come first served with limited supply as we determine the number of families who are interested in this resource.  Thank you to NBA Cares, First Utah Bank, Zions Bank and Rancho Markets.
  • Also tomorrow, check out ParentSquare or Facebook at 7:00pm for our next Tuck You In Tuesday! Mrs. Packard will be reading a special book to us to get us ready for a good night’s sleep!
  • We are hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday morning at 7:45 am. If you have volunteered at our school this year, please join us!
  • Also on Friday, we are holding our Kindergarten Open House from 2:00 – 3:00 pm for families of Kindergarteners starting school in the 2023-24 school year. Children must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023, in order to be eligible for Kindergarten.

Looking Ahead:

  • RISE testing will begin for 4th graders on Wednesday, April 26, and for 3rd graders on Wednesday, May 3. For more information about RISE testing, check out the Canyons District website.
