School Community Council Meeting Agenda

In Attendance: Carolee Mackay, Heidi Sanger, Alyssa Watson-Siriboe, Jason Baxter, Kwame Watson-Siriboe

Absent: Steve Brown (ill), Kikey Fernandez

Agenda Items:

  1. Welcome

Meeting was called to order at 4:00pm. 

  1. Discussion and vote on approval of the February 26th 2024 meeting minutes

Jason made a motion to approve the minutes; Carolee seconded the motion. All approved. Minutes approved.

  1. LAND Trust / TSSP updates and review

Carolee reviewed remaining funds for this year:

TSSP: $72,259.40 left; working on utilizing that as planned

LAND Trust: $24,843.88 left.

10% can be rolled over to the next year; next year’s budget will be quite tight.

Carolee provided handouts indicating the goals and data for each grade level. 

There is a growth and a proficiency goal for each grade level, as well as a resource services goal for each. 

Reviewed the LAND Trust/TSSP Action Plan for 2024-25. The majority of the LAND Trust dollars will be going towards interventionists. The majority of the TSSA dollars will go towards our third behavior assistant and an additional recess aide, along with substitutes, PBIS resources and buddy classrooms. 

  1. Final discussion and vote for Land Trust/TSSP plans for the 2024-2025 school year

Jason moved to approve the LAND Trust/TSSP plans for the 2024-2025 school year; Alyssa seconded. Unanimous approval; motion carried.

    Other topics to present to the council:

Kwame asked about cell tower funds. Carolee reviewed what the Board decided earlier this year. Most of the current funds go to the Principal’s Discretionary Fund.

Jason made a motion to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Alyssa. Meeting ended at 4:34pm.
